Most applications rely on various components to run properly, which is why you won't have much luck when trying to simply copy one and run it on a different system. If you really need to run a program on another system, for testing or other purposes, then Turbo Studio is something you will definitely want to have around. It gives you the possibility of creating virtual environments for any applications, so you can run them anywhere, independent from the host system. To put it in a simple way, you will be able to take your applications with you, along with any other components they require to run.

The software is free to try, with some limitations. It is compatible with all modern Windows platforms and it can be installed in under a minute. There are no special tools or services to install and you don't have to sacrifice too much disk space, RAM or processing power.

The user interface presents a wealth of options, all neatly organized on ribbon and in various menus. It may be a bit overwhelming at first, but it won't take long until you can build your virtual environments on the fly. Furthermore, there are multiple ways of creating such an environment. You can do it manually, on the main user interface, but you can also bring up a wizard and follow its instructions.

Building a virtual environment manually is a good choice if you want full control over how your application will work. You can decide what files, Registry values or keys to add, edit properties, make various startup configurations, import layers and set up an expiration for the application. Additionally, Turbo Studio lets you create MSI installation packages for your virtual applications.

The configuration wizard can save you a lot of time if you are in a hurry. It can build applications from templates, but it can also create snapshots of third party applications and their components. Another option is to configure applications by running and installer inside a container.

The snapshot feature can be used separately in manual mode. If you are not sure what registry items to a add, you can take two snapshots, before and after installing an application. This will allow the software to figure out what registry components belong to a specific application.

Turbo Studio lets you include everything your application might need to run. This includes various .NET Framework, Flash, Shokwave and Acrobat Reader versions, Java Runtimes and SQL Server editions. Including them doesn't take anything more than navigating to one of the ribbon menus and clicking the appropriate buttons.

With its broad range of powerful features, Turbo Studio completely changes the way you deploy your applications.

Pros

The software lets you work manually, but it also provides a helpful wizard. It lets you include everything an application might need to run, without leaving anything overlooked.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention.
